Does resonance affect performance? (A/W headers)

I just installed my A/W headers and they have resonance in between the 2k-3.5k rpm. I cant afford to pay installation two more times, so im basically stuck with these ones. Could this bring up more problems on the long run? Does it affect performance?

Nope, just a noise. It all depends on how the header is designed. The OBX headers have a resonance too.

Great so I dont have to change them... Just deal with that annoying noise

hmm, no CLS should sound like a lawnmower.

Did you have any fitament issue's ? With the hood open do you hear little chatters, or Hiss's ?

Reason I ask is because the headers may be leaking.

I did have some fitment issues. I sent it to another mechanic to check for leaks and he said i was fine.

juruki, chances are the headers are leaking You probably picked up the first or second batch from A/W... the latest batch, they have the fitment and O2 sensor issues fixed.

no power losses, but if it resonates for more than 3000 rpm or the entire rev range, it could be a leak. check some past threads to see what others say!
