Does this mean tranny failure is getting closer?
I have a 2001 CL-P, and last week, i just changed everything, engine oil, and tranny fluid. However I feel that after the change, the tranny is not as smooth anymore. It jerks more than it used to be. Why is that?
At some point atf change may actually kill the transmission. if u got trany that was severly overheated - burnt atf, lots of dust on plug , it may happen because high detergency of fresh oil will flush and release all burnt junk inside tranny causing internal leaks and failure.
it may be your case, it may not

The dreaded 2nd to 3rd gear problem...
ironsurfer, does it seam like the car loses some power then shifts hard into 3rd?
I know that my CL seams different to me, but I am on my 3rd tranny. I only have 3k on this one but it seams to shift "harder" yet nothing like it did when the tranny was going. It almost seams like the tranny shifts "rougher" as if at the wrong shift points.
I thought I got yet another bum tranny until I was driving my girls '06 civic and her car was doing the same thing.
After that, I thought it was just because I was always driving my motorcycle and I wasn't used to the way the car shifted.

Keep an eye out for any slippage. If it happens, first, don't panic....throw it in "manual" mode and up shift and then take it in.
Did you have any of the recall work done? And have you had any warning lights come on?
