I know - stupid question but does the coin holder have a light?

Yes it does. You need to ground it in order for it to work.

 

If they install the "smokers package" you get a nice light. I don't smoke, but it bothered me that there was no cigarette lighter in the car for some stupid reason. I had the smokers packae installed and left the "not an ashtray" insert for coins. It lights up nicely now and I can tell the difference between tokens and dimes now.

 

Yes & no. Some cars have it, some do not. My 02 had it, my 03 does not. Both didn't have the smokers package.
