Does clock in dash get lit when headlights on?
Hey all.. I have a 2001 Acura CL Type-S. One thing that is driving me nutz is the clock in dash. At night cannot see the time unless I turn on the cabin light. Is this normal? Should it light up when the headlights are turned on? Also should the Air Cond LCD light up as well. Please advise. My warranty is running out in Aug so still have time to get this all fixed for FREE before that is over. Thanks in advance...

Dumb suggestion....check your dimmer control for your interior lights, see if that doesn't make a difference. When the head lights are on, all the lights inside will dim.
If not, take it to the dealer.

mine did the same exact thing and i didn't even know it was supposed to be on but my friend smacked it and the dash around it about 20 times and it's worked ever since, but since it's on warranty have them mess with it...
so this morning when i was leaving my garage, i gave the dash a little bump to see if the light would come one... viola! it worked. however, about an 90 minutes later when i got into the car to drive to work, from the gym, the ac/heater thermostat got really whacky.
it showed "20" on the screen, that it was a/c off and no matter what button i pushed, or knob i turned, it wouldn't change the temperature, the amount of air coming through, or the display. finally, after a few minutes of futzin' around with it, it snapped back into order and worked fine all the way to work. anyone ever have this happen?

There are several posts (if you search the forum), maybe this is a factory problem, mine does not light either but have been to lazy to disasseble dash. If you search, you will find a detailed step by step procedure with pictures (to change into LED) showing how to access all bulbs in dash (including clock backlight). There is no specific fuse for this light in particular.
Theres a thread around here where, as some of you guys mentioned, some members have found that if you give the clock a light tap, the light will likely come on. Weird but it has worked. If not, then check the fuse
