Does anyone use a bra on their car?
Does anyone use a bra on their car?
I am debating between buying a Colgan Bra or the Acura bra, which one is made of the better material? Any Pros and Cons about the bra being used on the CL. Let me know please

I use the acura bra just for long distance driving. NEVER leave it on in the rain, the inside of it gets all dirty cause its cotton and kinda stains the hood, bumper. The acura one also fits like a glove, it kinda hard the first couple times to put on and take off but after a while only takes about 5~10 min.

However, I didn't get one for my 99 SHO, and I won't be getting a full one for the CL. I might consider the clear stuff for headlights.
You should base your decision on how much driving you do in dusty conditions, behind trucks, and on salt covered roads. A bra does an excellent job protecting from these and bugs. However, it's maintenance is high and should be weighed into the equation.
Others have already written about precautions. Let me add mine.
1) Wax or polish the portions of the car that the bra will contact. This will assure that no grit is trapped to damage the paint.
2) You can certainly drive through rain with a Colgan. It's very snug fit keeps most of the water out. Also, continued driving after the rain will help it dry.
3) Fastidiously clean it with brushes after car removal, making sure to get any grit around the inside edges.
I kept in on my car for weeks at a time and always for long trips. It performed very well and I can recommend it highly if you are willing to spend the extra time involved in installation, cleaning, and storage.

I have the Acura bra. If fits perfect. A little tight at first, but thats not always a bad thing. Just like any other bra, it is a pain in the ass. I pretty much never drive my car without it on. I just got in from a friends house, and the whole front was covered in bugs. I took a wet cloth and got most of the off. The bra will be back on Tuesday. If you want to protect your car, I whould get one and use it all the time. I got my bra free with the car. If not I would have checked into the clear bras. I am not familiar with them.
