Well i am one of those money saver! hehe, i hava a Silver CLP in houston.... well, its not saving $2000, instead, I had mine drive out at a GOOD price.... "$4500 less?" But anyway, I am satify and happy with my CLP, its not as fast as CLS, but like you gonna race with an Acura CL everyday... hehe, unless we have a RICED Integra.... hehe!

I have a CL-P, and I don't regret buying it. I see more Type-S around than the mine. At work there are something like 12 CL's in the lot and 1 is a 1st Gen, Mine (Cl-P) and rest are Type-S.

I saw a blue CL-P the other day and it looked very sharp! Still gotta lower those CL-P's though.

I used to have a silver CL-Premium but i traded it in for a type S..... and i dont regret it even though i loved my premium.. and i wish i could move a few things from it to the type S.. like the leather seats.. i prefer regular leather to the perforated one for type S .. i think it will be harder to be cleaned.... anyway they are pretty much the same car.. but in my humble opinion, shelling out the extra $2000 for the type S is worth it for the performance gain.... trust me i am only on 250 miles on my type S and havent even gotten past 6000 rpm but i can feel it already.... just wait till i cross that 600 mile threshold....

Bottom line they all rock and anyone who drives any kind of CL is okay by me

I test drove both and picked CL-P because of its softer ride. Both are excellent cars. It just depends on your driving style.

Saved a bundle back last year vs a CL-S. Now it's too close to say that.

That's funny b/c I have my Koni shocks cranked almost all the way stiff and I still think the ride is too soft!!!

Well, I had the extra 2grand, but it was the insurance that sucked. (i was 19 when i bought it, with a few moving violations.. that's why) parents were paying anyway, so i thought i'd give them a break. At one point, they made me choose between a Premium w/ nav or Type-S non-nav, cuz they were the same price...

I still chose the CL-S non-nav, but after they heard the insurance quote, they said heck no... CL-P with nav... that's it. If i had a problem with that, they'd bump me down to the Accord V6! haha I stopped complaining. So my parents paid $34,460 cash full... with navi, floor mats, muds, locks, paint protection coat and spoiler... you can definitely get one cheaper these days though.

The car I ended up with wasn't bad at all. Yes, its not as fast as an S, but I still kill rice all the time! Since getting a type-S was out of the question, the only way i can go just as fast as one would be to get them headers... i mean, hey, if i look on the bright side, i saved some money too!

Like they said...

Love the CL-P. It has lots more balz than I need... any more and I'd be worried about insurance and radar detectors, too. My only complaint is the cornering; I like the smoother ride, but my '94 Civic EX didn't roll as much in a hard turn (ramps at 2X speed. ) Maybe sways would do the trick.

What we don't have: Rattles from the rougher ride, hairy seats, and people ripping off our badges. The CL-S is a great car, but not for me. Speed is addictive, and I have too many vices as it is.

I didn't have a Type-S, that is until I sold my teg

Actually, what sold me on the Type-S was the seats, the VSA, the suspension, the rims, and the dash gauges. The extra horsies was just a bonus!

Don't kids work for their own stuff anymore?
When I got my first car, my parents bought me a bucket, a sponge and car wash liquid.
I had to buy it myself, maintain it myself, and pay my own insurance.
