Do springs void the warranty?

I have heard that lowering springs void warranties, is this true? I have 18" rims and have already had a problem getting my rotors fixed by acura. I just don't want to have a problem getting work done all because my car is lowered. Do you guys think i will have any trouble? My car doesn't need service now, but i just want to know for when it does.

Hey Marc
I had the dealer install my Comptech springs, and they told me that it does not affect the warranty.

Springs are covered by warranty, I believe it has to be installed by Acura to get the warranty, Im not sure though.

Sussman gave me a hard time about my rotors, saying the rims are the problem, but i was curious if im gonna get trouble for the springs which were not installed by Acura. Just for something i may need work on they might bitch about the springs.

New springs will void the warranty on your stock shocks. Also if any failure of the new springs causes damage to other parts of the suspension, that damage will not be covered by your warranty.

Your engine and drivetrain warranty is not affected by springs though.

stock shocks won't be covered. Anything related to alignments (and tire wear) would not be covered. And I guess if you bottomed out really bad and bent somthing it would not be covered.
