Do Our CL's Look Cleaner With the Sunroof Tilted or Shut? VOTE!!
This was an interesting topic on an Audi forum that I'm also on I figured I would post it on here. Basically the question is how do our 2nd gen. CL's look better, with the sunroof tilted, or closed? Tilted gives it almost a slight spoiler look from all angles and closed it looks a little cleaner, but less sporty.
What do you think?

Amazing how many people prefer it tilted and actually agree that it DOES make a difference looks wise. I know this maybe a stupid thread to some people but honestly it really really does make the car look a LOT better, IMO. The tilted sunroof gives the rounded body lines a more of a sporty look - which is exactly what our CL's need to look a little more aggressive.
Anyway, I actually leave my sunroof tilted ALL the time, yes even in the rain which I know some of you are going to say is retarded. But what I do is keep the inside part of the sunroof closed. So when it rains water at MOST (even in a downpour) will get a few drops on the interior part, but no water ever leaks in. My brother and I have kept our cars tilted with the interior part closed for years, lol. In my IS300 and his RSX we would keep the sunroof tilted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
..now with snow, we close it!!

I voted tilted... BUT...
Headroom, less weight, and lower center of gravity...
I've never been a fan of sunroofs anyways... I would have order my CL with a sunroof delete option if there was such a thing...

i hate mine too. i think i've used it 4 times since i've owned the car. the only thing i use it for is to crack it when i first start driving it to let the heat out. i've only done that twice. when i crack it, it sounds like the rubber weatherstripping is tearing apart.

I tilt my sunroof 80% of the time. Summer i want the heat flows out, and during winter, i just turn the temp knob to high and i don't need to turn on the AC fan for the heat to comes in. Most of all, my car looks cooler.
In fact, i wish the sunroof on the CL will open out like a Honda Prelude, I really love the way sunroof slide out the roof instead of in the roof and only open half way.

I agree it makes the car look WAY more aggressive from the front especially, IMO, with the sunroof tilted. I might even take 2 pictures just to show what a difference it can actually visually make. Now saying that...
I completely agree with this, I can't get over the fact that our sunroofs only open about 40% of the way. I actually thought my sunroof was broken when I got the car, and took it to Acura to figure out why it wasn't opening all the way.
WOW, I can't believe someone actually said this. I would do ANYTHING if there was some way to modify our sunroofs to to have them open on top of the roof - like RSX's, Preludes, Celicas, etc. I think it looks 1000x better when it opens on top of the car, it almost looks like a spoiler, in a way.

Meh, i don't think this thread is stupid. It just happens to be a light-hearted discussion on something that is seemingly insignificant, though people could still have an opinion either way. Though i've thought of how much better the car looks with the sunroof tilted, its very suttle, but is a different look. Personally i'm supprised this thread has so many replies, lol.
Tilt those sunroofs.

With only a few lonely souls saying this is the dumbest thread ever...check out how many views and responses there are. If it was that dumb..why'd you open it up and respond (lol)?
This is better than a noobie opening a thread saying what kind of PIAA bulb goes in the road lamps.
Did I mention I like it tilted?

I don't find this thread "dumb" but I do find it a little exaggerated that people think it makes the car look "so much better" like you just added ground effects, or 18" wheels. I don't think I have ever in my life, drivin by, or saw a car with the sunroof tilted open and thought, "Man, that sunroof just really sets that car off!" No offense, the sunroof is a nice option and it doesn't look bad when it's open, but I think everyone here is getting just a bit carried away with making it sound like you're driving some ultra special, customized vehicle just because a little window in the roof pops up an inch.
