Unhappy Do I need Head gasket?

My CL-S keeps overheating. First, I thought it was a leak but after inspections by me and a friend we found no leaks. Checked the amount of radiator fluid and it was pretty much full. System was just flushed very recently. But the oil looks milky. So I came to conclusion that its prolly the Head Gasket(s), not sure which one but I will replace both. Not sure how much they go for each and a good place to get them. I have looked a few places and prices range from $40 - $130 for each, so I'm not sure exactly what to get.

Do you guys think if I use two or even three gaskets on each side that will work and lower my compression slightly? Does anyone make Performance or After-market Head Gaskets.

don't double up on gaskets, you will only pull the heads again if you do.

as for head gaskets, go with OEM, the are the best out there and are of the 3 layer design. go to acuraautomotiveparts.org for the part, it's the best price around.

the head gaskets on these cars should not fail, their could be something else wrong, but that would take an inspection for warpage on the deck of the block and surface of the head. if it is warped the minimum, the head and or block would have to be surfaced. good luck

i'd say the kit because it includes most of the other gaskets you'll need. check to see if it comes with the head cover gasket, spark plug o rings, IM gaskets, ijector base gaskets if you take the runners off, and the head gaskets are 136.oo and 127.oo, you need one for each side. you may be able to use some of the gaskets over again, such as the head cover and spark plug o ring gaskets. you should take it apart first and see which gaskets you need, but defin, you will have to replace the head gaskets.

sorry to hear of this, i hope it works out well.

Check your plugs. If you've got a bad head gasket, the plugs will show it on the cylinder that's blown. Also watch your exhaust. Many times you can see the white (not blue) smoke and that's a dead give away.
