I was looking at my dealer's 30K mile check up, and I am questioning the following items:
Change brake fluid
and
Change Anti-lock brake system fluid.


Are those two different fluids?? The manual only says to change Brake fluid at 45K miles.

 

Same fluid... But the only way I am changing mine is if the fluid smells burnt.... I will never see 45K in this car.. I will be sold around 30K if that.

Some dealers do it as preventive maintance. Moisture in fluid can ruin brake system parts.

Even 45k seems too soon.
