Do guys like NSX?
I know a guy (not a friend) who just bought a 2001 NSX. I used to like NSX so much because it had the look, value, practicality and performance. But that was like 10 years ago when the terms "Internet" and "Cisco" were foreign to almost everyone. I think its current MSRP price of $88,000 is a total joke and anyone who still buys it should get a brain scan first. I know NSX is faster car than CL-Type S but there is no way that it should be worth 3 times more. The automatic version NSX has even less power than CL Type S, 252hp vs 260hp. With $88,000 in your bank account, you get really awesome choice of cars. Such as, Porsche 911 Carerra ($66,500), 911 Carerra 4 ($72,000), BMW M5 ($70,000), AMG E55 ($70,000) and the new God-sent BMW M3 ($45,000). My personal choice would be the new M3 and enough money left for a nice 4X4 SUV, such as MDX or X5. Any one of these cars can beat NSX in performance for less money and they are so much better in picking up girls (all 3 of them if you are really lucky). I heard that Acura is working on the next generation NSX with a 400hp plus V-8 engine. It is a good news but I heard that it will also raise its price to over $130,000 range area, which is in the playground of Porsche 911 Turbo, BMW Z8 and Ferrari 360. I can only say this to Acura "Good luck". I also heard that Nissan is seriously considering to export their latest Skyline GT-R to America. Now that's a different story!

The NSX is an true sports car. I would also consider it a true exotic. M3's and AMG's are great and all, but they are both just suped up 330's and Merc sedans. The NSX is not a suped up anything, it is just an NSX. Yes it does have less hp than a type s, but it probably weighs about half as much.
Just like a Porche is a Porche, an NSX is an NSX. Pure greatness!

I disagree. The NSX is too expensive for a slighty tuned V6. Same with the RL. It was good for its time, but it is time to move on. Maybe the V8 RL will get the furer (sp?) worried, and the V8 NSX will get the Armani (Italians) shaking in their Ferraris. Who knows.

I've never seen a actual Z8 on the street before.
but anyways, I'm just here to share my story.
Once I was at the dealer and saw a guy driving a NSX, so I asked my service guy if the 30 more horse power does make a difference. He said "Yah, of course. It's two totally different car." and then he told me that the guy has another red Super Charged NSX at home. (That guy was driving a stock Blk NSX that day)
I was amazed and asked my service guy why would anybody buy another $88,000 car that are the same ? If I were the guy, I'd probably buy a Ferarri instead with that kinda money. Then my service guy respond to me and said "I think he has one of those, too" "Maybe the guy thought that he would use his $180,000 dollars and get 2 NSXs, instead of getting 1 Lamborghini ?"
you know, some people are just rich.
and as to me, NSX does not worth $88,000 dollars.
