DIY: Tinted Tail Lights...
Disclaimer: by using these guides, you are removing me from any liability that is related to any injury that might occur. I would suggest having a friend help you on these installs, if you are unsure about your abilities for any of these projects, get a professional to do it.
Alright since Rockblocker is no longer available and you have to buy sheets of tint I decided to do something else...
What you need:
Masking or painters tape
Newspaper, or roll of parchment paper (you can get it at Ace or any hardware store)
Glass Cleaner
VHT-Niteshades
Time: About 15 min (not including dry time)
Directions: (Via directions on Spray Can)
1. Mask off surrounding areas to protect your paint, and use paper to prevent overspray getting on your paint.
2. Clean surface with glass cleaner and wipe clean, make sure it is dry before moving to next step.
3. Spray 2-3 light coats in a cross hatch (spraying vertical, then horizontal after the first coat, and so on)
4. Let dry and remove masked area.
I even did a light coat over the headlights... it looks so
I know that this is on my 1st gen CL, but in theory it would work on your 2nd gen as well...
