Really interesting conversion! Definetly need to look into something like this. But my main question is: If you're calling them foglights now, why don't you have 3000K HIDs in them, isn't the definition of a foglight that the beam is yellow in color to cut through thick fog and inclimate weather?

I dont think that that is the definition but I think I would work better! but originally I wanted it to match but now I playing around with different color combinations to see what looks best and is the best to see with
I think what looks best is 3000k fogs and 30'000 headlights BTW yellow and purple but I cant see anything with 30'000k headlights

+1 on the DIY.
I made the vent holes a bit different. One on the top outside corner and one on the bottom inside corner. I did this to prevent water from getting on the bulb and to promote cross-flow inside the lens. So far no problems. They are a bit dim, but I blame the nightshades tinting on the lenses I put on a while back... oh well. It looks cool [stealth].

wow really, thats not good. well hope u get it fix. did u wire it to the headlight wires, cus i was thinking instead of wiring the hid fog to the headlight wires, why not make the hid fogs its own switch like the 02-03 tl fog switch, just to be on the safe side. would that still work?

yeah for sure but that switch is expensive I changed the wiring its now wired to a ignition switch because they are now my DRLs because my high beams are HIDs. But use a relay

Im pretty sure its a TL judging by his avatar. I think he wants his fogs to be independent from the headlight circuit.
Personally Id just add a completely new harness for them and run them off of that to let them run independently. Id leave the stock wiring there just so its easy to go back if need be.

So I have my Fogs hooked up to a 2001 honda accord switch. I had to have someone do the wiring..was not too easy. But it works. I am currently trying to install the HID bulbs into the foglight housing. How did you guys get the bulbs to stay in. They are H3 right? they dont just twist in????

Did anyone else run into a problem when they 1st tried this? If you did, how did you end up getting it to work? I obviously don't know what the he** I'm doing wrong. I followed the instructions but no luck. The only thing I was able to do was fry the fuse for the right head light. Can anyone help me out?
Thx

i did this mod and even with the big holes i can still see some melting of the housing but its not bad. the only problem i had was water getting into the foglight when it rains. so i drilled two tiny holes in the corner to drain and solved that problem. so as of now its working great with 3k hids. i have my ballast mounted inside the bumper support beams.
