DIY dent removal
k so I am not very fond of paying someone to take out all the dents on my car from assholes hitting me in parking lots. But today i noticed one more that I just cannot stand to think is on my car and it's on the passenger side door right where the door humps out so it's just begging to be looked at, and fixed.
Upon searching I found this really cool method of using heat and then a compressed air canister upside down and the difference in temp will actually pull the metal back into it's original place.
here is a video so u can get an idea of what i'm talking about... and yes it is REAL

Now this doesn't work that well on lined door dings.. better for circular ones that are larger. but I have been reading it can work in almost any situation. I am probably going to try it tomorrow.. since my car has like 20 dings on it.. all in random places.
I figured it can only help.
HOPEFULLY some of you folks can shed some light on this situation. I'd greatly appreciate it.

this process will work on some dents, but only make it look some what decent. You can get teh same result by just putting your hand behind the metal and poping it out. But it usually leaves a wave behind which makes it 10 times harder for us PDR guys to fix the right way.
I get a lot of customers that actually pop big dents out on their own, which leaves and locks stress spots behind (looking like small dents, much harder to fix) and then they want me to fix them for small dent price, but they always get charged more than what it would have cost to fix the big dent to begin with. They all learn their lesson and dont do shit like this again.

well i brought my car to the best dent place in town and they were like :-o look at all the dings wtf.
lol there are at least 10 i want out. 2-3 on the doors, one on hood, and the rest on the quarter panels. they quoted me 500 and a full day of labor to make it look mint again. pretty much what i expected.
soo in a month it`ll be sexy again. gonna wait till the summer when weather is good. then geter done

heating your paint and quick freezing it like that totally ruins the paint. A good PDR guy is always the way to go IDK where you got $500 from ur car must be all banged up everywhere! I've seen good PDR guys pop out crazy dents on brand new Porsche's at work in 5 min and you'll never know it was even there

dude tell them they cant drill in our cars "on that part" because that part it double panel. there is a beam running through behind it. The only way to get to anything is through the wheel well.
If the dents are on the door, then there is no need to drill. They can go through the window. If that guy doesnt know what i'm talking about, then look for someone else.
Go to one of the dealerships close by, or to an acura dealer and ask them for their PDR guy's number
