DIY: Cleared headlights?.........and anyone in Chicago willing to do it?

Anyone know the step by step on how to properly clear the corners? I searched, but couldnt find the thread. Also, anyone in Chicago willing to do this for me or at least help? I wont be shy of giving you some $$ to do it or help.

thanks

Eventually you will get road grime or condesation inside the housing.

Can you just post it here so that other people who can't find the thread can just use this one in the future?

the only problem with that is, when you're painting the housings..theres a detail many people leave out. in the 01-02 housings, the blinker well is one piece with the rest of the housings, meaning if you want to keep the blinker wells chrome (like in the 03s), you're gonna have to tape off the parts you want chrome, and it can be pretty hard to get accurate, not to mention theres always the risk of stripping the chrome (which by the way, is ridiculously easy to do)...what i suggest is tape off the blinker well as best u can, leave the amber part in for now, and then paint the housing black. this way the amber reflector will serve as a guard to keep the paint from getting sprayed onto the chrome where the wedge bulbs are. kinda confusing but lemme know if u have any questions. also, i found that weak electrical tape tends to strip the chrome less, so try that out.

So, I just got a free pair from pimpinwhitecls and I noticed the insides of the turn signals have been painted black. Is this going to 'cause an issue? Maybe if I don't clear them and just repaint them to look like '03's it won't make a difference... Then again, maybe since it's painted in there, if I put in the amber diffuser from my old lights, it might have a "smoked" appearnace??

its not going to cause an issue, it just wont look as bright when you use your blinkers. u cant repaint them once theyre already painted..if u remove the paint in the turn signals ull remove the chrome as well..might as well just leave em as they are, or as you suggested, put the amber back in. that way itll look somewhat like the 03s. i personally dont like when the turn signals are also painted black..looks like its way too black for me
