Difficulty of installing 2k3 Tails on '01
Difficulty of installing 2k3 Tails on '01
I used to have a 95 Integra, and went through tons of cheeesy taillights when i was like 17 ( wow what was i thinking ) but anyway, I am def gonna get the 2003 tails on my 01 CL, and was curious if installing was just as easy. I mean my Teg was like 5 plastic bolts, rip th e panel off, thenunscrew and install, im ASSUMING its similar, bu when if i assume, i dont wanna make an ass out of u and me. So any way, any advice, Thanks in advance , MAtt.
I think that I had heard that there was some subtle difference and they couldn't be swapped? Might be wrong (it has happened before).
Don't feel bad about the cheez tail lights on your 'teg. A lot of cars are coming stock with Altezza lights now and there aren't too many car colors that can carry them off well. The pics of the Lancer EVO is a good example...bad tail lights.

No,no,no.
There is only one bulb that needs a new socket--the blinker. For the last 6 months my blinker bulb has just been hanging in the hole without the adapter and I haven't had any problems. Eventually I will get the sockets but they were on backorder at my dealer for months.
The fit is perfect and it only takes about 15 minutes to swap them out. It is very easy.
Really? hum.. I guess it dosen't really matter, because when you buy the sockets for it, I comes as a complete kit with bulbs, so I guess I just replaced the whole thing at once.. but yeah, it took only 10-15min to do it.
they are really easy to install.......... the blinker as mentioned above is the only light that needs a new socket, once you get it, it just screws on, and the bulbs fit perfectly on it.......cant believe the sockets are still backordered.........

Im confused, about the "sockets" that you guys are tlaking about. Im thinkin they are the plastic part the bulb sits in that you twist to fit inside the lens? But why would they need different sockets, if all i am changing is the lens? I was planning on ordering the taillights from acura-tl.com Any one buy from there?

Ask for Tim tell him Lou with the 02' Acura CL-S referred you last time he quoted me $350 with the sockets. I don't remember if that includes shipping but I wouldn't wait cause he only has like 5 or 6 sets he said ready to ship. Get them you won't be dissappointed
