Different Look for Silver CLS?
Has anyone seen or purchased aftermarket wheels for a silver CLS that are not your typical silver or chrome. I was browsing through the internet and saw a few silver cars that had dark wheels (e.g. black, dark grey/graphite color, charcoal, etc.). I was wondering if anyone had pics on some cool rims with these types of finishes. Also, what the general opinion on going with these colors.

As I write this, my 2003 six spoke wheels are in california for a new powder coating process. They will be chrome, but the final top coat will be a high gloss translucent black, but you will be able to see the chrome through it. $600 for four wheels plus you pay the shipping. They should be back on my car by april 21.
www.goodrichtechnology.com It is the dark wheel to the left. Click on Permastar on the left, and they have a better picture of them.
Note: if you want to do this, do NOT send your wheel center caps. They will melt. Have 1 mm discs of the same diameter and send them with the wheels so they match. Then, take a center cap to any good pinstriping shop. For $25, you should be able to get 12 acura emblems made (in any color you like). Glue the disc to the center cap, and apply the pressure sensitive logos.

Aztec: I encourage you to do so, and if you do it tomorrow, you could look in on my wheels. Realize that this is a PROPRIETY technology, so Gary Goodrich may guard this, but I do not think he will, unless you show up with about $1,000,000 hanging out of your pockets.
My wheels are standard 03 double split 6 spokes. I am a powder coating savvy guy, 13 years, but what this guy is doing is brand new. I know the coating process will work. I am worried about the wheel mounting process. Lotta friction going on there.
