Makes it more comfortable for people of different sizes

Shorter people will sit closer and will want to rest their arm closer to the shifter.

The 99-03 TL does this too. Its for different size drivers. Especially those that sit closer to the wheel. Slide it forward and it is in a better position for your arm to rest on.

didn't come with teh manual =[ thats the first mod i should have bought, so for now this website is my manual

I've never owned a luxury car, so i'm used to no thrill gizmos of the Acura Integra, the Civic "dx" the 1994 suburban with no safety bags, econopower! My turn to reminisce, so I was pretty much thrilled with all the bells and whistles the CL had. Almost felt like a rich snob

I see I didn't know many acura's had this feature, must have been for hte luxury cars .

I guess it's good for me because i'm 5 foot flat and my arm used to not be able to rest on the armrest completely but with this magical feature comfort level is over 9000

Haha you should experience a real luxury car (i.e. a german one) then.

Acuras are just slightly nicer Hondas, but its a stretch to call them luxury cars (even though that's how they're marketed)

^ Show me a single jap car that has the type of tech and features, and offers as good of a driving experience as you'll find in a new S class or 7 series...

Lexus has the LS, it has all tech and features, Yes, it wasnt designed to be a track star but it is a great cruiser. How about i ask you the same find me a 3 series or a 5 series with the same content as Acura, for a similar same price, Acura will blow the germans out of the water for content vs price, and the SH-AWD TL will give you a great driving experience and beat them in handling the BMW/Merc. Not to mention reliability.

agreed 100%, back when buying my first cls6 in '03, I shopped it against an '03 330ci and it was no comparison. The only thing the BMW did better was handling and that was clear, the BMW definitely handles better stock vs stock, but otherwise less hp, less technology and long term reliability and total cost of ownership is no comparison. The CL was almost $10K less and it was a no brainer really.

Sure the BMW comes with the self absorbed badging that gives their owners some sort of super inflated ego, courtesy of a brilliant marketing campaign that makes the 'me me me's' out there actually believe they are driving the ultimate driving machine, but I passed on overpaying for a fashion label that handles well.

There was a 2G Acura CL intro video posted, here I believe, that was for dealers to showcase the CL when it came out. It compared the Volvo C70, BMW and Merc (forgot which ones) and how superior the CL was to them. It was impressive, they had actual figures in that video.

Doesn't take much to blow OP's mind. His picture leads me believe we are dealing with a 'special' character.
