Did the mesh grille 2day...
So I was @ Lowes looking @ all the different kinds of mesh & I decided I wanted something different from all the other mesh grilles out there & decided on some bug netting lol. but here it is, I like it, although some of u prolly wont. Also for a lil something extra I painted the area behind the Acura symbol red.

Interesting, might be hard to keep clean, but I like it better than many I've seen.
I hate the ones with the Acura symbol removed.
I guess it's not easy to put the screen behind the silver wing too.
maybe remove the wing??

I'm not too sure it I like it. Take a pic of it from a bit further back so we can see the full front.

I painted it red because I wanted to & I like it. Plus it matches the calipers. The wing sits a bit further back than the rest of the grille so it'd def be a bitch to rig that somehow. Here's a cpl more pics, & yes the car is uneven cuz it's jacked up. I'm on wheel #3 or refinishing them. Filled in the curb rash w/ bondo, sanded, then painted. If u guys wanna see that I can post a pic too. =)

Oh & yeah I was thinking it might be hard to clean but I touch the car up pretty much every day I drive it so hopefully that will keep it from becoming a hassle. Plus, it can always come off quite easily.

If I cut the mesh out in front of the red the whole thing would fall apart. The symbol is held on by 2 screws in the middle & theres no way the symbol would hold it down. I knew you'd all preach I dont like the red, I don't like the red...

I kinda like this idea. It's not the best looking mesh out there, but definitely original and great DIY job. You need to do the lower grille also. Good job!

I wasn't ragging on the red, just looks wrong covered over.
Cutout the red area and maybe superglue the mesh to the edges of the A symbols surround. THe symbol screws down if I remember.
Just ideas, that's what modding is all about. I know it's tricky putting mesh in the grill.
Good luck tinkering. got chickens in there?? j/k

Lmao Nope, no chickens, just a bunch of horses. I was thinking if I redid it I might just paint it silver or something under the Acura symbol. The red makes the Acura symbol stand out tho & I don't mind people being sure to see that. Someone said it looks pink but it doesn't @ all in person otherwards i'd of scrapped the red idea instantly. If I used something thicker & stronger for the mesh I could def cut out around the symbol a lot easier. Might just do that if I get bored next wknd just to see.

Your car has a nice gangster lean to it I love the DIY. Definately something to think about more. I've been wanting to do it myself for a while, minus painting the "A" symbol.

It was actually very easy. With that mesh being skinny I was able to strech it out, screw it all bk together then take a hobby knife to the excess. Literally took me a whole maybe 10 minutes. & yes it's a gangsta lean, my car be pimpin' !
