DEI Reflect-A-GOLD

Has anyone used this around their intake piping? I'm thinking about building an ice box and wrapping the piping with this, but it's gold....

SKU: 010391
A high performance reflector born in the aerospace industry for use in extreme temperature swing environments, this state-of-the-art polymer is extremely light weight and capable of handling continual operating temperatures up to 850 F.

Highly effective material for firewalls, fuel cells, engine covers, under hoods, engine compartment, bulk heads, seat bottoms – anything or area that needs protection from heat.

Reflects up to 80% of radiant heat
Virtually NO clearance needed
Fire resistant adhesive side rated up to 325˚F
Self-adhesive backing for easy install and removal

This is the other option I was looking into:
SKU: 010408

its pointless. the intake manifold is what heats the charge more than anything

every bit helps though, but the manifold is the biggest contributor to heating the intake charge

Does the P2R intake manifold gasket help at all with this? I can't see it doing much of anything although it claims to reduce the transfer of head from the heads to the intake manifold as well as the TB gasket.... I was planning on purchasing the intake manifold gasket, TB Spacer and TB Gasket from P2R.

The manifold spacer will do a lot more than the tb gasket / the heat tape. The manifold spacer is made of some sort of plastic and doesn't transfer as much heat as metals.

Who makes the manifold spacer? I've only seen the tb spacer and the manifold gasket.

but its pointless unless you can make the intake manifold cooler. get the manifold gasket before you get the TB one

i agree with u but it seems like the manifold gasket is NOT sold by itself it comes as a kit with the ThermoBlok SPACER KIT frm outlaw engineering - which includes intake manifold spacer, throttle body spacer, gaskets, installation kit, bypass fitting.

Yea, the Outlaw Engineering kit includes everything you need. It is designed to keep the intake manifold cooler, and is dyno tested to prove it.

I know for sure that P2R makes a TB spacer, but idk if they have an IM spacer.
