Debadge Question!!

Does anyone have their trunk debadged so that the Acura Emblem is in the dead center of the trunk, and everything else is scraped off? I'm thinking about doing it, but would deff. like to see how it looks before!!

Thanks!!~

It looks absolutely 100% better...as if the ass end of our car could get any sexier. I have the same car and did it. It was EZ. 15minute job and a lil elbow grease but well worth it. It's very noticeable.

i just did it a week ago, and i painted the acura A black it looks pretty nice, and taking that shit off not that easy, gotta use googone or something and then it comes off, but i still have some indentations that are only seen from up close, i think i have to buff them out. but overall its a piece of cake thing to do

debadged pics are all over this site. It really makes the back end look wider.

You can't do that. It's screwed into the trunk lid. If you removed it it would leave 2 holes.

plus 'dead center of trunk' is curved. most of the Acura badgeds are flat.

What do people think of debadging everything except of the A C U R A on the back of the car....i was trying to do that be a little different but trying to find a photoshop of it....Take the A off...shave the holes and the take the 3.2. cl - s off too....so the back just says ACURA.....

let me know what you think...and if any of you photoshop buffs can do a ruff pic of it that would be great..

It's not really what the OP is looking for but I thought I'd show you what I did (real pic, not a pshop).

In my opinion, it's the best choice

clean and simple ....... and people always ask " What is this car ?"

Now that is slick! I like it! I just don't want to pay for a paint job. How big are the holes? How hard (or ugly) would it be to fill them in myself and go over with OEM touch up paint? I have some now and it is a spot-on match for my Anthracite. If the holes aren't horribly big, it might not even be noticeable. Just curious. Thanks!

My 'A' symbol is upsidedown and also debadged. No one knows what the hell the car is...cmao!

The main question is, when ever I'm on base, "did someone steal the badges on your car?" ----Yes stupid someone stole them----

The holes left would be quite noticeable; about 3/16" of an inch diameter. Some bodyshop just fill it with plastic before the paint, but plastic tend to recess slightly with time, showing small marks after a while.
The bodyshop I went to welded metal in there before prepping it for the paint. So far so good.

Just put 2 leds in there ... j/k

now that does look tight....yea..how much of a pain were those holes....? any tips would help....or how much did it cost you to get those holes filled.

lol@leds.....saw your answer.....interesting...me and my friends have been debating on that....now at least i know what it looks like...

That was going to be my next question! Mine is Anthracite so it tends to hide scratches and such. My paint isn't the best but I don't think it is so bad it warrants an entire car repainting yet. I can't ever seem to find decent/reasonable paint work. Seems a place is either cheap and crappy or expensive as all hell and great work. You'd think there would be a market for something in the middle.

cleanCL you should get a CF trunk and have the bodyshop just do one quick layer of paint on it so it shows the CF weave through still ive seen that on M3 CSL trunks and my god it looks sick
