I have 35,000 miles on my car.
The dealer just replaced the seat leather on the drivers seat under warranty due to white showing through the cracks.

Let me translate...my 2 yr old speaks like that too....so i can relate...

I think he means that he has a problem with his drivers seat, and the dealer wont cover it under his warranty, because he has passed the 3yr/60000 coverage. So what does he do now?

I think that was the post...

Alright guys. Let's be cool here. Sounds like this guy wants some advise. No comments from the peanut gallery about his typing skills. I've seen some of the typing on this forum, and it isn't the best either. Now seriously, without being able to see the seat, I am going to assume that the dealer does not feel that it is the fault of the product. Granted we all know that if it is worn and not cut, or if the leather is maintained and not abused, that there is no wear and tear clause in the warranty when it comes to leather. My suggestion is to go to another dealer. If there is not one near you, requests a visit with the dpsm (factory rep) or call customer relations and let them know what is going on. They should be able to help. If the dealer is blowing you off, blow them out and get acura, itself, involved. Speaking as a svc rep, no dealer likes for that to happen unless they recommend it. Hope this helps.

Hey John it's Mike.
Arlington Acura is replacing my seat tracks and both covers, top and bottom under warranty.
They are also replacing the seat backs, both door handles which includes the window control plates and both of the door sills.
They haven't questioned anything.
They are located at Dundee Rd. and 355.
Talk to Omar.
See ya Lapper!

I'm thinking of doing the same with the dealer. I just bought the car used and there's cracks on the drivers seat with the white showing through. it's got 38k miles on it and a 2001 CL-S. How should I communicate to them that I'd like it replaced and that I just bought the car used. Would that hurt me that I bought the car used? I'm in Arlington, VA and if anyone has suggestions on dealers that'd be great. Thanks guys. Love the forum by the way. very informative

Arlington Acura usually sucks...the couldn't get me in for an oil change for a week. Then I went to Woodfield Acura...and I'll never go back!

So because they have a full schedual w/ customers that are apparantly happy about the service they recieve...you say they suck. And go somewhere else that has open spots on demand cause they don't have many customers. Are there other reasons why they suck that ur just not mentioning??Just asking...

It shouldn't matter that you bought the car used. If it is still under factory warranty (time portion that is, mileage is still under) and the leather is not "damaged", then it should be covered. Acura does not cover abused or cut leather. Like I told John, don't be afraid to push the issue. It is your car and your right as a consumer. But remember, go through the proper channels first. See the advisor. If he doesn't help, see the svc mgr. If still no help, call client services. In a perfect world, none of this would happen. But, it's not and things don't always work out. But it never hurts to try.

They just didn't treat me good. And one that I saw that made me feel wierd was that I saw the punk tech....a mid 20's gang banger lookin' punk, get into a customers car and start reving the engine....then peeling out! I'd have killed him if it was my car....and my uncle took his RSX there...IT WAS BRAND NEW...and some one hit the back bumper....and they said it was his fault and they didn't do it. Things like that make me un easy about leaving my car there.
