Dealer screwed into my front bumper!

Dealer screwed into my front bumper!

What's the 800 number for Acura? I'm so pissed right now cause I just found out that the dealer screwed into my front bumper. I talked to my sales person, sales manager, and service manager and all of them said they didn't do anything wrong!!!

Is there anything else I can do? I wanna call the 800 number and complain to Acura!!

did they do anything wrong?? as far as i know they screw into everybodys front bumper, they did to mine. unless you todl them specifically not to

No way dudes - FAWK that $hit. When I got my CL, it had a front license plate that was screwed into the pre-drilled holes UNDER THE BUMPER specifically put there for the front plate holder.

I say that if the morons put a front plate in without using the right holder, you should get your bumper repaired. When I get my digicam back this week, I'll post pics of what I'm talking about.

Agreed. There's no reason to drill into the front bumper cover from any reason, including the license plate bracket. It mounts via 8x1.25mm bolts to pre-fabbed mounting holes. I would demand to have it replaced, period!

mounted without drilling on mine too. There are two screws that are attached from the bottom. Problem with that is that it scrapes the bumper and chips paint away so it is a poor design too , but I wouldnt stand for them screwing it into the bumber

Same here, I don't have anything screwed into my front bumper. I'd take the car back to the dealership and ask for a new bumper, but then again I'm probably way more fanatical that you... :p

Ya man. I would complain for a new bumper. There are the screws for the holder. Complain like a mother till you get a new bumper or repair yours.

Thanks for the advise guys. I bitched at the dealer but it was no help so I'm calling corporate Acura tomorrow. Hopefully they won't be as much of an asshole like my dealer. I'm going to ask for a brand spanking new bumper!

Don't hold your breath. Eventhough they should have mounted it differently, I doubt they will give you a new bumper.

from what i konw from the dealer, they are *supposed* to screw them in to secure them. they are bypassing protocol if they dont do it. you have to convince them ahead of time, or hope the person PDI'ing your vehicle forgets to do it. in my case, i had it "arranged" ahead of time. you probably wont get anywhere with acura, but dont let that stop you, lotta people will be behind you if you get through.

yup... no screws on my bumper neither... there're screw on the bottom grill on ur bumper (special front plate)... TAKE IT BACK... use the old bumper get a custom kit ahhaha =)

Also send a later or fax to the owner of the dealer and let him know what you are going to do.. Also if you have BBB in your area give them a call to.. Tell the owner you have put a complant in with the District Rep for Acura.. they will fix..

yeah, they drilled holes in my front bumper too...totally UN-neccessary!!!!!...they should have just used teh clamps..now my bumper has 2 big ass holes in it...fockers...please post your result, i'll back u all the way...if u get a new bumper, i'm gonna ask for one as well...

Acura's CS number is 1800-382-2238. (option1).

Was this Pohanka?

I got mine there but it was in Spring 2000.

No, it was Radley. I should've bought it from Pohonka!!! My mom complained to Honda a couple days ago. I don't know exactly what she said but the sales manager just called and he was all pissed. He said that me (or in this case my mom) can't go telling lies to Honda. Again, I have no idea what she said to Honda but I'm glad he's pissed.

yup, i wished i got mine from pohanka too...radley sucks...only got it there cuz i live right aroudn teh corner...what was the verdict? they gonna replace your bumper?...if so, then i'm gonna get mine too....bastards...i dont know why they drilled the holes...they could've attached the front license plate w/o drillin the holes in the bumper..totally unneccessary...who was the sales mgr at radley you talked to?

The people at Karen Radley seem to be really cool. My CL-S goes in for its 30K maintenance on Monday and I sent an email to the service manager expressing my reservations about what the car needs and my past disappointments with service at Pohanka. I got a call the next morning at work and "Pam", with their Acura servicve, took notes on everything we discussed. God I hope there's good dealer somewhere out there...

yeah, i have spoken to russ too, he is a dick. at first he wouldnt give me my free navi update that the sales guy promised me...but finally i told him, that if he didnt give me what i wanted, i would never buy an acura from him again...i asked him "is it worth losing a loyal customer over $150?"...he didnt respond...it wasn't the cost of the dvd that made me mad, it was the fact that the sales guy promised me something, but then denied it. radley acura is suspect in my book

damn lucky there were nothing on my bumper... feel sorry for u guys... i think they should replace it...at least bondo it and repaint it man..
