dc headers (ceramic)vs. obx header ( stainless still)
can anyone help me out i have an acura cl type s 2002 . i have dc headers on right now but they leaked the first week i got them . i orders the obx because that what i had on my old car and they felt real good . but with one are better for this casr???? plz help anyone !

u got the new desgn dc headers or the old design? the old design has a 2bolt flange which is more prone to breakage and leakage while the new 3bolt deisgn is supposed to be much better. I would complain to dc sports and see if u could get the new design

 

they said they could not do anything ! it really sucks becuase i just gto them . well i orderd the obx headers a buddy of mine has them he said they kick ass . we where just checking it out and yea they do . i see you customize car what can you do to my cl????

 

OBX are not the best, that's for sure. However, I've never used any, so I'm just going by hear-say. XS Power and Comptech are the 2 good ones for second gens, Comptechs being around $600-1000 and XS powers being $150-300. OBX is basically a small step up from ebay brands...and it's popularity comes from ebay.

depends on what u want done...i can do headers but i onyl prefer to do them when its warmer...i can do any other performance mods, ive been doing headliners l8ly, and projector retrofits

whats up troy yea i had to get on here seems the place to be . yea troy tell them how i got my car worked on pretty well for an auto !lol yea like i said obx may not be the best but i know they are stronger then dc sports . and with all i have done on the car it should help out alot . meaning it does not matter what brand it is as long as you have air living your motor ! i will keep you guys up to date on when i put them on

its not about beincheap edd ! its about they headers ! they all do the same work . only this issome last longer then others ! know if i wereto talk about rims n sound system then you would have a point . comptech headers are good , there great ! but there 1000 to1200 . thats why iam getting obx!

 

lmao all headers are the same? Wow, you're a car guy for sure Sure, it might be a 1-5 hp difference, but each header has a different design, sound, and power. If you thought DC headers were bad, have fun with OBX.

 

dont go with OBX. if you cant afford the comptechs then go with XS power headers. they are cheap and lots of people have had them on here with little/no problems. just do a search.
