Are DC headers Any Good ?

I'm looking into getting DC headers for my 2001 ACURA 3.2CL-S, I found a site which sells them for 291.26 $
http://www.ultrarev.com/dc-sports-ce...s-hhc5529.html
is it a good deal ?
any reviews or recommendations ?

There is a reason these headers are priced low. These are the "old" dc headers (HHC5529), which many have had fitment problems with. Spend a few extra bucks and get the new and improved model (HHC5528)which seems to get much better reviews.

the old design (2 bolt flanges) are know to leak. spend an extra $100-200 for the 3 bolt flange. ull thank ur self in the long run. but dc headers hand right their with comptechs and more than half teh price and i dont think that their CARB legal.

I have a pair of HHC5528 dc headers and I think they are great, No fitment issues, nice gain I can feel a stronger jump, and great sound. I only have the headers, and no resignator and I have a nice deep tone. Also I had these put on by AEM when they owned DC sports in Hawthorne. My pair was actually the first set. They used my car to make the new HHC5528 because of the older model fitment issues, and in return I got A pair thrown on my car along with a detail and a rental for 2 weeks paid for.

The official word on the 6 speed headers is well documented - buy the 2nd revision of the comptechs, or press your luck with everything else.

Now in my experience - I've put two sets of $100ish ebay headers on my 6 speed, and both fit just fine, only needing a little metal ground out of the front crossmember on the subframe, which pretty much any of them need if your motor mounts are 7 years old....

What headers are in production that fits the 6spd besides CT? CT is so expensive.

looking at the picture it looks like it will fit... looks like one of the 3-1 pipes are bent more compared the other set. Correct me if I am wrong please.
I called DC they said it fits but I trust the forum first...

HHC5528 is the only header DC offers for cl's and tl's. I would go with this part number to eliminate the hassle of older model fitment issues, obviously they were redesigned for a reason. Also a note I have the HHC5528's on my cl. Currently they are not carb legal because when aem sold dc to the new owners they never got the chance to submit them to carb for review. Since then the new company has taken the liberty to get carb approval, they are currently pending. Im not sure if it matters where you live but in CA its a must to pass carb. Luckly I know a smog shop, and they passed me =]

DC Sports is the next best thing to Comptech ( in my opinion ) I almost went with DC, but just decided that after I am done paying off the Comptechs, I will be happier knowing i went with the best I can get, But if I went with anything other than Comptech, I'd go with DC

well according to the Dyno Charts, a Higher HP gain, and that it really is the best built header / fitment available, and in no way am i knocking DC Sports, just that I debated a long time and just decided the old theory, if you are going to do something, do it right ..and to me that means to do it the best u can, after i pay off the CTE, I will be happy i did it ...but if i went any other way than CTE, I'd go with DC

comptech is more expensive bc their carb legal. it costs a lot of money to make a performance product carb legal. look it up

XS made the 6 spd header but dont anymore if you can find a set. Even used i paid a lil over 700 for my ct headers but they looked like new almost. Atleast their value holds up better than the cars does.

No one here is going to say no to headers in general (some don't trust xs brand)

I've had them on my car for over a year and others even longer. It won't cause any problems just improvements. Better performance and if you don't drive crazy you can gain 1-2 mpgs

The DC headers are well worth it. On a Type S you could see 20-30 hp gains. The fitment is good as well. And all their ceramic coated headers are made out of T409 stainless steel and then coated.
