Damnit my car is ready to be picked up from Acura Service

Why is it that when I want them to take their time ( I brought my car in for a 2nd tranny replacement) - They fix it quicker...

I got a loaner 2005 Chevy Colorado (after complaining about the original Kia they gave me) and I wanted it over Christmas...

PS _ Once again, Ardmore Acura blows

Come on you can't fault them for getting the word done quicker.

But I hear what you’re saying. Stuff like this always seems to work out in the exact opposite fashion then how you want it to.

Hehe. I know what you mean. Before Thanksgiving I had my car in for some minor work. But they needed a part that they couldn't get right away. I dropped my car off Tuesday evening and got a brand new TSX w/navi loaner. The car had 25 miles on the odometer. Well since it was Thanksgiving, they didn't work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I got to keep it for nearly a week. It was fun switching it up a bit.

I got the same car this past Tuesday when I had my belt tensioner replaced, the car now had 9k miles on it! And I only got to keep it for like 3 hours. Oh well... i got boost back so it was a fair trade off

I felt the same way with my loaner when my car was in for a transmission replacement. They gave me an '04 TL for a loaner and I really didn't want to give that back.

<------ They build it here. My father was one of the engineers on the project. Not a bad little truck, and they even offer a Z71 package for it.

I saw the Colorado Extreme and (as a general rule, I really dislike GM products and would never aspire to own anything GM except for a very select few vehicles and even then i'd make sure it was on the down-low) was blown away by how good it looks. It's GM's best looking truck IMHO.

I got a Loaner 04 545i from the BMW dealership once. Talk about not wanting to give a car back Simply astounding machine--can't wait for the M5.

Is Acura stingy with loaners in general or does it vary from dealership to dealership. The BMW dealer I dealt with would give me a loaner if my car needed a oil change and car wash. The Acura dealership is only willing to give a loaner if I schedule an appointment 2 months ahead, talk to the right guy, slip him a $20, and promise not to tell anyone. Having a loaner (and beating the living hell out of it) is one of the primary reasons of buying an upper class vehicle! (j/k i'd NEVER beat up a loaner, never ever ever, I only beat up rental cars)
