Damn ""SRS"" light on.......What can i do besides have the dealer rape me!
My "SRS" light has been on now for a few months......what can i try to get it off? It appeared after my car went into my freinds bodyshop (ROBINSONS AUTOBODY) to have my kit put on.

Do a search, I had SRS light on. it seems to be somewhat common issue.
In my case they replaced my seat belt bucket (which had one of SRS sensors). If this is the case, its covered under unlimited seat belt module.
In the worst case it will be your SRS module, which could cost 500-600 to replace at the dealer.
I don;t think you have to many options with this issue. dealers know the best how to fix this problem.

my srs light came on a couple times before. the passenger seat has a weight sensor and it turned the light on cause it thought i had a small child in the seat so it turned the airbag of (it was actually my bag for school) the dealer told me about it and didnt charge me anything to turn in it off. probly not the same thing for you but work a shot, you can have them look at it without it costing you anything. if not you can turn off the light by putting the key in ignition II, then holding both the select and reset buttons down for a few seconds. im not sure what happened with yours but its worth a shot, better than having to pay for it if thats the case.

This may be the perfect resolution: have the dealer replace the sensor under safety warranty which is for like 8 years or something as far as I remember. I had mine replaced under that special warranty this summer after the Canadian warranty (3 yrs/60,000km) expired on my 01 CLS. Talk to the dealer and if they say there is no such a thing, call Acura of USA or other sources because I know there is for sure. I ended up not spending a dime for the replacement. Hope this helps.

is there a seat belt warranty that is extended beyond the normal warranties? i just came back from the dealer and they said that it would be $130 to fix it and that it was the seat belt sensor..
also after i left the dealership i noticed that the SRS light is no longer on and i really don't feel like fixing it now that it is off..

The light might come back on. Well, at least that's what happened to me after couple days leaving the dealership. I'm not too certain on the seat belt warranty but as far as I know, that safety warranty should include seat belts also..
