damn rattles, noises etc.

whats up fellow type-s 'ers. i am relatively new to the board. got my type-s(black/ebony with nav) last week and i'm loving it, especially the 260 hp and navi (found roscoe's chicken and waffles last weekend, no sweat! some bomb azz grubbin!).

Anyways, can you guys help me out by telling me how you fixed the annoying rattles coming from the sunroof, dash, brake light, trunk etc? I gonna go get some JL subs(plus some formula one tint) this weekend and i hope that the bass wont make the rattles worse. any advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance. more posts to come!

for the brake light I came up w/ a solution. go to walmart/kmart/target and get those little rubber bumps you put on furniture. there about 1/2 inch self adhesive stickers. There should be a pic some where around here but I can't find it. soopa help

I never heard any rattling noises dude.. The first thing I listened for was a quiet drive. Everything seemed Kosher. The only complaint I had was the whistling noise you hear when you past 50mph... Sounded like I had a window cracked open or something.. But i remember reading post on this site that said side mirrors were the root of the problem.. They had to get them replaced.. However, that's a lotta work to go thru so I crank up my radio LOUD!!!.. I suggest you do the same man cuz you'll always find a litle squeak here and there.

it's the cracks in the side mirror housing. putting tape over it will reduce any whistling sound.
