Damn our cars are heavy...
There is this truck scale on the other side of the street from my warehouse that is never turned off. I decided to check to see how much my car weighs at night just because i was curious. There was nothing in my car other than a 10inch type R sub, the amp to power it, and an empty 24oz Pepsi bottle
Well i got on the scale and with me out of the car it weighs in at 3400... (1/4 tank of gas too)
3400 lbs. Its quite amusing as my friends Trans Am weighs in at 3800 with a set of corvette heads in his trunk, a vette cam, and a battery charger.

My last car was 3800lbs, so I think the CLS-6spd @ 3446 lbs is kinda light
edit: oh, the scale is off.. as a auto CL checks in at a little over 3500lbs.

haha this is awesome. Personally i come from owning a 2002 camaro ss with the upgraded 345 package. There is no way you can keep up with an ls1, or even compare an acura to a ls1 firebird/camaro. SS is the same as a z28 and the ws6 is the same as the formula and transam, slight appearance differences and some have the 345 instead of the 325. Muscle cars are about speed, harsh ride and rattles. I sacraficed speed for a nice sport/luxury car.
Please don't forget just because you see a car at the track run 15's doesn't mean it only runs 15's there are too many variables that determine that. ls1s run low 13's with the occasional factory freak that runs high 12's STOCK.
Heres a tip if you see a camaro/firebird with only one exhuast tip its a v6....yes you can beat them, so can the stock civic next to you.

OMG, this is just lame. Why compare apples and oranges? RWD 300+ HP/Torque stock muscle car vs. a modded FWD V-6 luxo-sport. Just don't get it. Both amazing cars, but one's made for straight line vicous 1/4 launches and runs while the other is supposed to be a blend of sport and luxury so you can pass out a Civic on the highway while absorbing all the highway bumps. Let's just leave it at that. Props for making your CL-S faster than 99% of them out there. Props for a stock muscle car that can hang with most $70k + sport cars, nuff said.

Don't seen why TypeR would have trouble taking a stock LS1 Camaro/Firebird especially from a roll, where TypeR's car isn't hampered by a FWD launch.

Back on topic. The CLS weight can be overcome with some suspension upgrades. Springs, shocks, sways, tires, & lighter rims will all combine to improve handling. I have no handling complaints with my car. I take turns at high speeds, & can even drift the rear end out if I try.
When it comes to weight my only complaint is off the line traction.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubbles but stock LS1s do run low 13s, with a mid sized cam upgrade along with full exhaust and a lid, you're looking around 340-370rwhp and that's good enough for low 12s, high 11s with a decent driver. So with a cat-back, yeah LS1s run 12.8-13.0 depending on the driver all day long.
Yes we're comparing straight line muscle vs luxury/comfort/some speed, but making the claim that his highly modded CL-S runs with LS1s all day long is just false. Here are just one timeslip:
Right lane, ran 12.6 with lid, intake, exhaust, and 3500stall.
Point is, enjoy that we have a smooth, quiet luxury ride that has some speed, but do not start comparing apples and oranges. LS1 is completely out of our league as our most modded cars run even with an LS1 car with $750 of mods.
