D5 light blinking

Last night i was driving through downtown detroit and hit a pretty big pothole and my D5 light started blinking. It stopped after i turned the car off and on. A little later i hit another pothole (BOTH of them were giant holes in Woodward Ave that i coudln't dodge because the road was one fucking narrow lane due to construction) and it started going apeshit. After i parked and turned the car off, it wasn't blinking when i restarted. No check engine light.

Anything to worry about?

That is what starts happening when you are about to lose the transmission. I am not sure being it is happenong when you hit something.

See your dealer... Tranny time????

From the "owners’ link" on the www.acura.com website:

The following is an excerpt from the extended warranty (7yr/100k miles) section (they talk about what is ok and what is not. The blinking D5 indicator is NOT ok):

These characteristics are not normal; if you experience any of them, call your Acura dealer.

While driving, the D5 indicator on the instrument panel flashes.

That would be the safe bet. The OBDII codes will tell all.

That's probably it, i haven't had any problems with the tranny.

I'll call the dealer on Monday.

Best Idea. Hopefully it was just that the car was jarred too much and just a fluke.
