Custom Trunk DONE!!!!...pics inside

Aight..took my friend and I about 4 full days worth of work. A little under $200 for supplies and accessories. It consists of 2 12" Rockford HE2's, Hifonics Thor amp for the subs, A pioneer 4 channel amp for the interior speakers, 3.0 Farad Cap for the Hifonics amp. We made a nice little compartment on the side to hold my tire shine and car cleaning accessories. And we even left the factory jack location and tool location and worked around it to give it that factory look. So far everyone that has seen it in person loves it and still can't believe we did it ourselves. Just the way I like it...simple plain and sounds awesome. while still retaining some class and trunk space. Lemme know what u guys think!!!!

Sorry about the extreme size of the photos....I just started using Imageshack for my photohosting. Anyone know of another good FREE image hosting site. Everytime I use cardomain the pics are too small. AND imagestation sucks!!!

I gotta assume though that its accesable as he's knocked people who don't on a daily driver.

Also, the little pocket-thing on the left side, did you build that? I don't remember seeing that in my trunk, but I could have just missed it. Thats cool how you store cleaning stuff in there though. Godd idea.

The small amp rack in the middle is on hinges and once the lid is open...there is an access panel that has everything on a quick-disconnect panel. I just disconnect the couple of wires and then the large amp rack in the middle that has the Hifonics and the cap just lifts right out. I would have taken pics of the access panel but it need some finishing touches. but...the ENTIRE project was built around me having access to the spare because I have bad luck w/ tires ......as for the compartment on the left...yes we built that ourselves. Everything worked out just as planned.

Yeah I know...it's the OEm one. But I had to remove that for access to everything else so we just built one that has more room inside of it and custom fit w/ the boxes.

Thanks for all teh compliments guys.

Amazing job Ant.

That takes some skill to do it by yourselves from scratch. Very impressive.

Very nicely done! You should be proud. And maybe even post diy instructions, though I have to admit if I had done that I'd want my CL to stay unique Congrats

nice and clean , the only thing that I saw which might have been the angle was on the back of the box by the rear ski pass was a little bit of the body color showing through and i saw a wire ( not a big deal at all) but i would cut a little piece of carpet and just put it on that part and it will hide everything that is back there....

looks great for a DIY

Really well done. The spare tire access is innovative and something that too many people overlook.

Very nice set-up.

I like how you kept the center pretty open.

Definitely agree with all the props thrown your way here. All the goodies without sacrificing much practicality at all. And clean as hell to top it off. AND IT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!

Rocking stuff, mate.

Thats the kind of custom trunk i like. All this vinyl and fibreglass shit is too much. I bet when you open the ski pass the bass bangs your skull.
