2fast4you and nersh, you 2 can have the momo boots if you want them. I would just ask for $5 each to cover shipping and packaging costs if thats ok with you. If you guys dont want Ill give to the next person who wants.

i tried fitting the momo boot with my voodoo knob and you can do it with no modification and i think it looks good. I just have the shift knob sitting inside the top and used a rubber door stop to hold the boot to the knob. i didnt hook the boot to the trim plate tho, just did this fast to show ppl so the boot isnt on properly in the pics.

this is my shift plate and boot as it sits now. Like i said before i used the plastic ring from an integra type r boot from japan. The cut out on the top was too small for my voodoo knob to fit in, so i just used my dremel and cut out a bigger circle the right size. Then i sanded and smoothed it down and painted it flat black.

Been a member for a while but never really post on here...I too will be needing a new leather boot soon as you can see from the pics...I've had the Civic Si shift knob for over a year now and just until recently connected the shift boot with the knob with this adapter I found...really liked the final outcome...

I ordered the CLS-6 shift boot from these guys:
http://www.redlinegoods.com/CL0103shiftboot.shtm

It's coming from Poland, so I won't have it until 04Feb10. Their quality looks pretty good.

I hate all that extra slack, I ordered the OEM frame and I'm gonna have my local tailor sew in a fine zipper to access the adjustable part of the short shifter. I'll also mark the boot material and have him trim it so it's nice and tight without all that extra skin laying on the frame.

I like the metal section under wicked_cl and civics. both look good. Both of ur boots look a little off to me. I dont like having the excess boot sticking out. I push the boot down into the opening. Civic urs would look sick if you trim the boot or stuff more of it down imo.

Yeah, but as soon as you shift, it pops out again.

^ Exactly. You need the slack for the shifter to be able to move, and since the shifter is so low it makes it even worse. And I actually like having the slack in it. If I ever get tired of the shifter being so low (not likely), I can easily raise it up.

Look in my pic. I have none of that extra slack on mine and mine has never popped out.

Its kind of hard to see in those pics, but it looks like youre still using the stock shifter.

Once you lower the knob portion the dimensions of the shift boot change dramatically.

The angles in them need to much more acute to to meet up with the knob, so anything short of a custom made boot will have some slack. Remember, RJ and myself are using the P-Spec shifter, so we have the ability to adjust not only the throw but the physical height of the shifter.

Mine is lowered over an inch over stock. Looking at ur pic the top of my knob looks to be right along where urs is. By pop up i meant the trim plate but neither the plate or boot has ever popped up for me.

Hmmm, well some of the boot wont go down further on mine because along the sides of the shifter surround there a plastic "wall". The shift boot is actually down as far as it could go. And I didnt say this before, but that picture was soon after I installed that boot so the leather was still somewhat stiff. It has since gotten alittle more flexible.

I mean the boot leather hangs over the emblem with the 1-6 gear numbers, especially on a shortened shifter.

this sounds just like you rajca:
A Polish man was walking along the beach in France. There are many beautiful women lying in the sun, and he really wants to meet one. But try as he might, the women don't seem to be at all interested. Finally, as a last resort, he walks up to a Frenchman lying on the beach who is surrounded by adoring women.
"Excuse me," he says, taking the guy aside, "but I've been trying to meet one of those women for about an hour now, and I just can't seem to get anywhere with them. You're French. You know these women. What do they want?"
"Maybee I can help a leetle beet," says the Frenchman. "What you do ees you go to zee store. You buy a leetle bikini sweeming suit. You walk up and down zee beach. You meet girl very qweekly zees way."
"Wow! Thanks!" says the Pole, and off he goes to the store. He buys a skimpy red bathing suit, puts it on, and goes back to the beach. He parades up and down the beach but still has no luck with the ladies. So he goes back to the Frenchman.
"I'm sorry to bother you again," he says, "but I went to the store, I got a swimsuit, and I still haven't been able to meet a girl."
"Okay," says the Frenchman, "I tell you what you do. You go to zee store. You buy potato. You put potato in sweeming suit and walk up and down zee beach. You will meet girl very, very qweekly zees way."
"Thanks!" says the guy, and runs off to the store. He buys the potato, puts it in the swimsuit, and marches up and down the beach. Up and down, up and down he walks, but the women will hardly even look at him.
After half an hour he can't take it anymore and goes back to the Frenchman. "Look," he says, "I got the suit, I put the potato in it, and I walked up and down the beach, and still nothing! What more can I do?" "Well," says the Frenchman, "maybe I can help you a leetle beet. Why don't you try moving zee potato to the front of zee sweeming suit?"

'The boots are shipped from Poland...', that's what the Shipping and Returns page states in the second paragraph.

this thread shows pics of the tl boot and top piece with a few different knobs. i think the one with the maven shift knob is the sexiest ive seen.
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=maven btw you have to scroll down some to see most of the pics

Lady Gaga makes my shifter pop up

I'm keeping my CL Shifter stock

\]

I like how this guy has the short shifter on it and left the stock knob on it. It looks clean and factory:
