St2000-See what I mean about too much was pre cut on the upper grill. Can I get another one? PM Me.

Overall looks good I think. I have to add the side vents still.

yeah, i can see the gap on the side and the bottom. I'll have to talk to the bodyshop why they cut more than i told them to. I'll see if there's an extra piece big enough to make an upper grill, or if not I'll have to order another set, it'll cost you like $35 and I'll take care of the rest and the shipping.

oh fuzzy, for the lower grill I think it'll look much better if you bend the grill in the center so that it hugs the stock grill better.

Were they all cut the same?
If so, I'm going to have the same problem when I install mine this weekend.......

each grill was cut differently.
I have little gaps on either sides too, but it's not visible even if you see it from close too because the grill is black. That's why as I suggested, it's a lot safer to go with black even on light colored cars. In future orders, I won't be getting the bodyshop to cut the screw points at all due to the risk of overcutting.

Yes yes, post pics!

FUZZY! Is your grill the "race" or the "diamond" style?

OK here are the pics of Ch1276's installed upper grill. He has the black diamond style just like mine. By the way, very nice and clean install Chris couldn't do it any better myself.

thanks sam

BTW, ever thought of cutting the pieces behind the mesh grill that the chrome use to connect to? I was wondering if it was possible, but really didn't want to experiment with it.

Yeah i thought about it, but then i'm gonna have to get a brand new set of OEM grill when i'm selling the car. And if you notice that that some of the screws are attached to the middle piece too, unless you can cut around it really nice and clean. You'd probably need a professional sawing tool to get a clean cut there. I think that'd look sweet without the black piece thing in the background.

I think I may take it to a body shop and see what they think about cutting it out.

pimpin the cl: ST2000 has them made, the material is thicker than the home depot stuff

That 10 bucks for the wire mesh is going to have to be spent a dozen times... I've had it on my car, and it dents easily and gets dull after a month or two. It might be ok for a civic, but for an Ac? We need something of a higher quality for our cars

This material is a much stronger material and it is powder coated. If you are familiar with powder coating, you know that the process is highly involved and produces a quality product that is very durable.

go to www.grill-tech.com you'll see how the material is that ST2000 is using.

Check it out, let us know what you think.

btw...welcome to the board
