Custom Cold Air Intake

I am in there process of trying to make a custom cold air intake with 3.5inch inter cooling piping. The only thing I still am confused about is how I connect the breather hose to the new intake. Do I need to weld the nipple on myself? Someone that has made a custom CAI please help me out.

drill a hole and install a barb either plastic/nylon or brass. What year? Manual or Auto? The tube length will be different because of the VSA Throttle Body between Auto/Manual I think. Other than that, a silicon coupler should allow you to attach the parts together with hose clamps.
