over the past year or so, i've heard many interesting things bout stock systems in cars, like the Bose in our car kinda sux in comparison to a Maxima's Bose system, but i'm curious to see what yer favorite system is in any car/truck/SUV in any year...Nakamichi and Mark Levinson i've heard nothing but good things about...Harmon Kardon, Bose, & Mach r sketchy at best, depending on the make and model

i'm not gonna upgrade my system at this point, so i just want yer opinions

Stock system im my friends 540 6spd sounds AMAZING!

I also remember the stock system in the IS300 being pretty damn good too.

The Chrylser 300M I had, had the 360W 10 speaker stereo. It even had a center channel. That sounded damn good. The stereo in my co-workers 01 Range Rover sounds great too.

the stock lexus premium systems are unbelievalbe for stock

the nackamichi's were sweet too, but the best i heard is the marc levinson in my aunts ls430

My audiophile friend says the sound system in the new 7 series is the most amazin sound system hes ever heard. forgot to mention that since i havent actually heard it myself.

My dad has a 300M and the sound system kicks ass. I think its Infinity.

personally I found the stock CL Bose system to be better than the one in my '00 Maxima, but the Max had 200 watts compared to our piddly output. A friend from work had the Harmon Karmon in his 330, which sounded a hell of a lot better than the Harmon Karmon option for my '98 M3 - very clean and sweet!

From the cars I owned, I'd have to say the stock Infinity system in my old Intrepid. It had 360W and 10 speakers. Same as the 300M.

Out of the cars I have been in, I'd have to say the Nakamichi in my friend's SC400

the bose in my G35C sounds WAYYYYY better than the bose i had in my CLS

bring ur favorite CD and take it to the BMW dealer... try the system in the new 745iL.... u will be like Wow. I spent almost 4G just for the system in my CLS.. and it sounds nothing like my friend's 745iL... i think it was like 13 speakers or something.

My brother bought a 740 and the system is REALLY good. After listening to his system all day I had to drive home and listen to mine. :o

so Infinity and the bimmer 7-series systems seem to b the favorites so far while Nakamichi/Levinson, Harmon Kardon, and other Bose systems r respectable systems

for the 7-series, they define the stereo as "Logic 7 audio system with 13 speakers, Digital Sound Processing, and 6-disc in-dash CD changer; includes 2 subwoofers"...it BETTER b good

my 93 infiniti j30t had an amazing bose system.

my dads E500 has the same pro-logic 7 that the 7-series has...it sounds awsome, very clear, and sounds like there is a 10" sub in the back...

the audi stock has tons of midbass for a stock car, more than any other system i have ever heard...but it ends there.

Id put the stock system in my caddy up against any other stock car out there. Its a 12 speaker BOSE system, and it blows away any stock stereo Ive heard (Porsche, BMW, MB, Audi, Acura, Ferrari, Jaguar)

The IS 300 is very good for stock as well as the jeep Grand Cherokee Limited edition Infinity system with equilizer.

My friend's '98 Lexus LS 400 has a pretty nice system for stock. Blows the CL-S out of the water.

interesting u say that...my folks had the J30t...for a 4-speaker system with a single CD-changer in-dash, that was pretty advanced at the time

there was an overlap we had in the family where we had the '97 Maxima GLE and the J30t, both with the Bose system, Maxima with 6-speakers tho...they both sounded good, but i recall the J30 had a lil more base, while the Maxima seemed to have more treble

the G35 coupe got 8 speakers bose.. it has too much bass and not enough treble.. it sounds like it has 2 10" inthe trunk and there is no treble.

oh and the speakers in my dad's dodge cargo van sounds fucking crazy it only has 2 speaks but it sounds like it has 6. All surround and shit cuz that shit is empty inside

..really? We've got the same bose and i'm not too happy with it...although you have a trunk so maybe that changes the sound of it?? My favorite stock radio was in my 98 eclipse turbo. I think it was made by 'eclipse'..but not certain.

When I first started in the car business I worked for a Mercedes Benz dealer .I was always impressed with their systems made by Becker .One of the really nice features was the fact that you could fine tune an FM station in very minute steps .I know today this is not needed anymore but I was always impressed with how well those radios pulled in stations.I got one of these radios out of a theft recovery job I did .It was awesome ,great sound awesome tuner .I had it for six months untill a thief took a shine to it and stole it.After that was gone I obtained and even older two post Becker ,this thing was beyond belief as far as the tuner went .It seemed to pull in a station and never let go of it.
Todays systems in many cars are amazing the new TSX has pretty nice system which is even voice activated if you opt for the navigation equipped car .This is on of the motivating reasons for me probably buying one of these cars by summer.Jens

my 1996 Camaro had a KICK ASS Bose system with a little 6.5" subwoofer that pounded like i could not beleive for a 6.5" that system was by far the best stock system ive heard. very clear, crisp, and loud.
