CT Tranny Cooler installed

I installed my tranny cooler today. Pretty easy install. I definitely recommend it to everyone. There was nothing really hard about it. My tranny took about 4 quarts with the cooler, does that sound about right? Well anyway more props to comptech for doing their research for the parts they make for our cars. Its funny when people are helping me install things, they're like what about this or that, i just tell them its all included in the comptech kit. Makes life a lot easier! I'm almost ready for the supercharger install! I can't wait!

no real noticeable gains in power. it seems a little bit louder. part number for it is KN RU-2590 for the k&n. i recommend it because you can clean it more than once with k&n's cleaning kit. where as the comptech uni filter can only be cleaned once.

hey tariq. s/c is getting ready to go on. i relocated the battery, moved the p/s resevoir, and put on mugen mods. i'm busy in the military, but i will put on the s/c shortly. i'm so excited i can't wait. it's nice putting the s/c on in small steps. that way i can devote a lot of time to each part of the install and get it perfect. i put on the gauges with the a-pillar too. of course, the boost gauge isn't hooked up yet , but the fp gauge is. hoe's the g35? any new mods. still looking in to forced induction?

you should get the k&n, even if you keep the uni filter, that way you'll have one to put on while cleaning the other.

so far loving the g35 no complaints... but I do miss the blower's whine... The extra power with the SC and all is just not the same in the stock g35.. Yes FI will be going in next springs along with some 19's w/a huge lip, and other mods. APS TT is the route I am to take but evenutally with have to build the motor if I go that route.

Well glad to see my little toys are in the proper hand, with whom someone will enjoy as much as I did. Keep me posted, and let me know whenever you plan on coming to Niagara Falls.

So do you add more ATF (more than recommended in the manual) b/c of the added volume of the tranny cooler? I was wondering about this also b/c I installed mine last week. Not sure if CL-S has a stock tranny cooler....if it does, did you by-pass it?

i just removed the 6" line that the comptech instructions said to and then installed the 55" and 74" lines. then i filled up the tranny with fluid. when i drained the fluid, i hooked up the cooler inlet hose to the tranny and then put the oulet line into a bucket. started up the car and shut it off as soon as i lost pressure. i would say i got a little over 3 quarts and when i filled up the tranny afterwards, i got about 4 quarts.

Ahh so if you followed the Comptech instructions, you by-passed the stock tranny cooler (if the CL-S even have one). For the AV6, there's a stock cooler. Hmm, I'm about to do a flush pretty soon with Redline High Temp ATF so I'll see if the tranny can take more with the tranny cooler.
