CT axle-back, remove silencer insert?

I'm going to have my axle-back installed today. The screws for my silencer inserts have rusted, and they are hard to remove.

What do you think about the silencers? Good/bad, and what noise difference? They do tone down the exhaust, but how noticeable?

Thinking of leaving them on, but realize NOW is the time to the rusted screw removed before the mufflers are installed.

I have a pair. I had them installed for a few days, then took them off. It kills any sound the CT's will give you. I mean what's the point then? I was expecting a little decrease, but they killed it almost totaly.
