Crashed My CLS Today (pics)
was cruisin down the road minding my own business, when driving in the right lane, a person in the left lane cuts right into me forcing between his range rover discovery and a granite curb, well i'm not a cold hearted bastard, i jumped out of the car unhurt, and checked on the other guy, he plowed into a utility pole head on and blew both air bags, he was a little shaken up, he apologized about my car, and life goes on, it still sucks though, it has some heavy suspension damage to the right front
plus the smack on the left. it could have been worse though one of us could have gotten hurt, thank god were ok. so i guess in a few weeks i'll be drivin it again, i had to borrow one of the shop loaners (a 2001 toyota camry)

OMg man this sux. looks like it might have broken the front axle.
I hope you get some money and fix it up and mod it too. I know it won't be the same after an accident but atleast your not hurt.
Also that is a big ass scratch on your rim.

you can see the shape of the curb and how deep it ground into the right front wheel, he admitted it was his fault, i'm sure his ins will pay for it, i called my ins co as well, just to inform them of the accident

Can't You Total Out the Car?
Dude,
hurts me just looking at it, same color and bulbs and everything as mine...ouch. Well just wondering if the insurance is allowing you to total out the damages. That means they'll pay you for what you have paid for the car so far unless u paid all cash for it, and you walk away and maybe get you a new baby. After seeing the damages even if it gets fixed, she never gonna be the same again.

welcome to the scratched rim club.
sorry, couldnt resist.
Thank God nobody was injured, its good to see you have the right attitude about this saying "life will go on"
Most people cannot do that. I applaud you.

Glad the here both drivers are o.k. Sorry for your loss of your baby, my friend.
I say one thing, if the cars less than a year old, tell his/her insurance company you want a new car. I think Allstate advertises if you get into a accident with a new car, they replace it with a new vehicle. Just an idea.
You know you'll alway feel different about your baby, even if they repair it correctly. Not to mention numerous articles about loss of structural integrity after a wreck.
Good luck, stay healthy!

its ugly, but not even close to a total, i'm thinking that it will need fender, headlamp, door skin, 3 wheels, 2 tires, front bumper cover, roadlamp, steering rack, rf spindle, knuckle, control arms, strut, abs sensor maybe some other hidden stuff, i didn't even open the hood yet, anyway the dealer i work for is going to be doing the work, so anytime of the day, i could walk over to our body shop and check on her progress
maybe i'll take some pics and update you guys as she's being rebuilt
the worse thing is driving a "temp" vehicle whatever it may be, i just like the solid feeling and power of the cls, the camry i grabbed from work feels like 1/2 a car. (but i appreciate them loaning it to me, it sure beats walking)

Glad you are ok. Yeah, the worst part is the loaner car. You may not look at the car the same initially, but in the long run after it get's older, you will.

Makes me sick to my stomach to see those pics. Glad your ok! Sometimes I get this funny feeling when passing another car that because our cars are relatively quiet the car in front doesn't realize that I'm passing him and you know how people just pull over into another lane without checking other land carefully?! Hope everything works out smoothly as possible for you! Bob
