The leather on the drivers side is cracking like no other...

i noticed it once before but didn't realize how bad it was till today.

has anyone else have the same problem?

i was wondering if the seats were under warrenty as well.

yah i think it is under warranty..but what is the mileage on your cls now and do u use leather conditioner and cleaner to treat it?direct sunlight expose? i bought my cls at aug of 2000 and the leather is still smelling and looking like new..as i use eagal 1 leather care products to protect it...
anyway..try to bring it back to your acura dealership and have them look at it..he will tell u if it is under warranty repair right away..and good luck..i know this problem has happened to some of the members here too..good luck lol

 

i have close to 18K on my car...and it's about a year and a half old.

i use leather treatment...not as often as i would like...but i think i've applied it 2~3 times after i got my car

i use lexol...leather cleaner and conditioner...and my car has been parked in a garage from day one...so i really could figure why the cracking was occuring

eitherway...i'll be taking the car in for a check up soon

i'll find out and update you guys on the situation.

I think you got a bad batch of cow skin. Hopefully the dealer will make it right.

 

I had the same issue two weeks ago on my drivers side parchment seat. I'm at 30k miles; they dyed the top drivers side. This was the fix Honda (Acura) told them to try before they could replace the cover. So far it looks good and seems to be holding up very well. All was covered under warranty, they even gave me a loaner NSX for the day. (Or was that a RSX??)
