Cracked piece under hood...

Cracked piece under hood...
I was looking through a thread (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189518) and noticed that the circled piece below is cracked under the hood. Mine is cracked too in the exact same spot. Has this happened with many others on here? Anyone know what could have caused it..dropping the hood down maybe??? I'm not sure what that piece is called so I couldn't search on it.

it happenned to mine at the same exact spot...i might have done it though...i dont remember

Happened here too. I bought the car used though, and you can tell it was glued together where the crack was

Mine was cracked a little farther back closer to the intake box but I accidently broke it the rest of the way off replacing my filter. Probably how alot of yours got cracked as well. Easy to do...Actually with mine gone now it doesn't look like anything is gone at all.... it looks just like the passenger side now.

Anyone know the part number for the clips that hold this piece down? Iv broke a few of these off, might as well get them now

Maybe it was taken off when you put that huge front bumper on your car

clips are number 26 in the diagram.

anyone know how much to replace it shipped? mine is broken around the latch.

just go down to your local acura dealership they usually have them there for like a buck each and you wont have to wait 2 weeks

I guess we can all agree that that thing is a brittle piece of plastic. Mine broke as well, in the same spot plus other places.
