Cost to remove spoiler?

What do you think a body shop would charge to remove the spoiler. They'd have to fill 4 small holes, paint, and reconnect the inside 3rd brake light. Any guesses?

You know I actually gave some thought to that last week and I realized I bet it would be cheaper to buy a new trunk lid and just sell your trunk with the spoiler!

I’m guessing someone is trying to be creative on the price of his 2003 by recycling parts.

Why don’t you ask if you can switch trunks so you don’t have to buy it?

Yeah, that spoiler is only for cosmetic reasons ONLY. Unless you drive 130 on daily basis

I've resigned myself to paying sticker or maybe $500 under so I'm trying to save a little cash. I'm pretty sure I can move the splashguards over myself. As long as the car is pre-drilled, I should just need a ratchet with a phillips bit. I don't know why I didn't think of just swapping trunk lids to get the spoiler. D'OH! I just hope the color matches right. I do plan on getting silver again.

Its not just cosmetic. It really makes backing up easier since it helps locate the tail. Cosmetically, I think the car looks fine either way. If it wasn't for the visibility, I'd probably just forget it on the 2003.

I thought about swapping the Splash-Guards on mine as well, but I heard some horror stories about scratches in the paint behind them and I was afraid to look.

I was going to do the GOLD grill too, but it had some small scratches on it and they had already seen and commented about it when they gave me the trade appraisal.

HINT:
They won’t deal on the CAR price, but you should be able to get $$$$ off for the accessories if you know how to “play the game”.
I basically told them if I didn’t get money off the accessories I would buy them off the NET and install them myself.
So they ended up giving me them for a good price.

Not selling it. Want to get 6 speed and get a spoiler on it for the least cost possible.

I still think it would be cheaper to buy a regular trunk lid, switch it with your current one, then put your current one on the new car and sell the one that comes on your new car. Unless there's a color difference?

Wow, that would be wild. Red trunklid and spoiler on a blue CLS.

I plan on getting silver again. So I could just switch lids assuming the color batches match up. I'm not going for the General Motors "different shade on every panel" look.
