Hi everyone, new to the forum. I plan on getting a CL-S, possibly with the navigation system in the summer. Is anyone interested in spilling the beans on the out-the-door costs? This would really help me. Thank you.

PS, will the front lip for the TL fit on the CL? Or any body kits out there for this slick car?

 

I was quoted $30,509 as the "no hassle, no haggle" internet price from a local dealer via AutoVantage.com . That was the vehicle price, not including tax, license, etc.

Basically, that works out to about $500 over invoice, so they're still making about a grand on the car including holdback. That's the best I've been able to get in Southern California.

 

I was actually planning to go back to SoCal to buy that car, things are just too damned expensive up north. Was that 30K the S model with or without the Nav?

Yep, that's with nav. I've gotten the same price at 2 dealers so far.

 

Remember, the hype is down now...were in a recession and the TL-S has just come out.

I have heard people getting as low as 29,500 to 29,800 with Nav before tax, title and tags.

i'm supposed to be picking up my '01 CL-S, with wheel locks, spoiler and moon roof visor. I paid 28,500 without tax, tag etc.,

 

What area are you getting this price from? And, I'm assuming that's without the navi...

 

No Navi. East Coast, Philly area.

 

I got my for $32,500 out the door, which mean including tax, title and license last July. When I went back for maintance not to low ago, I saw the MSRP price drop 2K from what I bought it for. Thus, I think you can get it btw 29K and 30K out the door for sure.

The Luxury tax only applies to cars that sell for above 36,000> because of the Business Job Protection Act of 1996, the taxes are to phased out over 7 years. In 2001, the taxes are 4% on a car over 36,000 and it's only the amount over 36,000. If you buy a car that is 36,100, the freaking tax is 4 bucks..... Remember, thsi is the price of the car beofre sales taxes, fees, insurance, etc. But does include the add-ons. In 2003, the tax is GONE.
