Cost for Comptech Install ... is this good?

Was quoted a price of $800 today from my local dealership for the install of springs/shocks/sways/alignment. Curious if this is good, average, low, high? I've tried to beat against PAA prices for installs, but they don't list anything for shocks (since they don't carry aftermarket shocks) but Peter told me in an email that there'd be no extra charge for the stock install if I brought my own. Any thoughts? tks

I had the springs and shock installed with an alignment for $200. I will do the sways myself when I get them. They will take about an hour each on the slow side.

thought so ... I know they got their prices for the hardware directly from the Comptech website, and I'm assuming that they are taking Comptech's estimates on length for install (2-3 hours for springs, 3-4 for sways, etc) and adding them all together to come up with the number of hours and then multiplying by their hourly rate. If this is the case, seems it would be cheaper to go thru PAA which would account for a nearly $800 savings, despite the slight cost over/above Dean/juniorbean for the same hardware. There used to be a place in town that I was going to check with (AutoSportTuning), but they have folded shop. Not too many suspension places in this area that I'm aware of.

I had mine done at the Acura dealer and it was $400 for springs and sways plus parts which I was charged Comptech list price. (around $1100 total)

I might get the Icebox installed at the dealership to, they quoted me $85 but since I have heard that it took some people 4 hours to install it, I think it might be worth it. I ordered the Icebox from Deansbluesi though...save a bundle over list+shipping.

I'm going to verify tomorrow with the dealership and get an item-by-item breakdown of what they told me. The Icebox appears to be a reality now that Lou has installed one ... as long as he doesn't pull a slyraskal on us.
