Cooling mods.. Could they create a problem?

I drove my car for the first time in 9 days. I installed the cooling mods way back last November. I have run fine, not a hint of a problem. My outside temp said 93 I was sitting in traffic on an off ramp. I noticed my temp gauge was 3/4 up! & stayed there. I moved a little & it went down, then went back up when I stopped. It did this all day. I had my AC on & it was blowing cold like normal. I got home & let the car sit a few hours. Started it up & let it run for 20 minutes. The guage was normal the whole time, & both cooling fans were on. Could the TS have failed? bad fan switch? I ran in hotter weather before & never had a problem. I don't think air is in the system cause it's been fine, & the AC is cold. Car is at Acura for other problems so I will mess with it on my own after I get it back.

check your coolant level. make sure it is full and green. that could be the problem. not enough coolant. mine had the same problem before cooling mods. i checked the level, it was low. so i added more coolant and it never happened again. make sure you do 50/50 of coolant and water though.

could be a airlock.. you might need to bleed you radiator. there might be an air buble traped in one of the lines... that may be it but im not quite sure.

Sounds like air in the system. Bleed it out.

It must be air in the system because if I remember correctly, you just installed the TS. I doubt the TS would already be faulty/broken.

How could it be air in the system? It has run fine for months. I haven't done anything that would let air in it. It has run fine in much hotter weather? Just started all of a sudden? I'll will check it though once I get the car back.

You never know, but it's a lot easier to squeeze the lines than it is to replace the t-stat.
