I was searching for the Jackson Racing supercharger (turns out in 2001 they claimed it was about a year away... Who knows when we'll see it).

Anyways, I found a link to Magnason Products (they specialize in drop in blowers for GM products (trucks, Hummers, Vettes).

I have one of their blowers on my 2000 Silverado. Nice install (puts out about 35%-65% power increase -- I'm seeing 35%). Cool news is they've added a new one to their line up (called the Radix). The blower is integrated onto a new manifold with a build in liquid to air intercooler. Makes install a breeze! Power gains: 65%-125%!!! Swweeeet! Price $5150 (list).

Geeze if Comptech would pull off that kind of gains (I'm assuming you'd probably only see 65%, but still!)

On my truck I have about 380HP (300WHP), the 65% would put it at 470HP (370WHP). That would put me about neck to neck with my 6-speed in the 0-60......


I have a question for all you 6-speeders with the blow job, how's the driveability? Any nasty torque steer issues? Just curious. I'd love to add boost, but I find stock the 6-speed can be a wild and crazy beast. Damn FWD...... :P

 

It doesn't steer... just spins the tires 1st and 2nd gear were practically useless if you floor it, but 3rd through 6th pulls like crazy!

 

the blower is great on the sixer i love it!!!.when i turn the key the car sais:please fasten your seat belts and keep your tray tables in the upright position and enjoy this flight!!!!!!!!!!!!
