Conclusion of missing S badge saga
I went ahead and removed the rest of the badge (the "3.2CL" part), and I really do like the cleaner look. Lucky for me, no paint damage...
When I took her into the dealer to get the tires rotated, they gave me new badges for free (warranty), and I told them not to glue them on, so now I have some spare badges. Maybe I can have a "Type S" fridge

I took all the whole thing off yesterday,
just Acura and the emblem now. Looks less ... unbalanced.

took mine off, to redo them and the paint came off right with them . Nothing some touchup paint couldnt fix though , it wasnt too bad.

my friend who just bought a 2002 TL-P debadged his trunk and purchased a Type-S badge to put on it.
Suffice to say, I feel the urge to rip it off of his car for him. Friends dont let friends drink around in fake Type-S.
at least it wasn't a TYpe-R badge

I just started the Zaino process on my car this morning. During the Clay step, I removed the dealer badge and the 'ACURA' letters. I left the '3.2 Type S'.
I used dental floss and then Zaino car wash solution to clean up.
The car is only a week old, so the bagding came off pretty cleanly. I just had to peel off the back with my fingers.
