Comptech Supercharger?

I just saw this while I was looking for the intake... Seems like a damn good deal until you see "cashier's check preferred"

Sure would be nice if they mentioned if it was for the auto or 6-speed. Gonna guess auto since they're much more common.

It's for an auto, if you look at his other sales, he's selling a Comptech Header without the bend in the flange.

Shows how little I know about the Comptech S/C. I didn't know there was a difference between the Auto & Manual. I figured the mounting points, pulleys and everything would be the same. (that's the way it was on my old B18C1)

Buy it if it has low miles on it and doesnt need a rebuild..these things are getting really rare..
Doesnt it add 90lbs to the front with everything though?
If it does, may change the way your car sits depending on suspension, but who care if you got +40whp and torque...gl

No, maybe around 50. Keep in mind the kit changes the stock battery to the much smaller 51r.

Oh i see 50lbs isnt tooo bad.
, well i saw one for 1800 not too long ago and i thought that was a good deal, so that one is a steal at $1k.
Just be prepared with wider stickier tires and good mounts so you can utilize the power it gives, if not, the car will be all over the place...gl

6MT's don't have VSA so they don't have the extra VSA throttle body so the plumbing is a bit different. Other than that they need a different header design than the auto's due to a difference in the rear motor mount.

Wouldn't that mean they aren't really CT headers? I could be wrong but I didn't think comptech made 2 different headers b/c if they fit a manual, they will fit an auto. But just because they fit the auto they won't necessarily fit a manual.

Comptech made 2 different headers. The manual headers fit autos but not vice versa

I think there is something fishy going on with that S/C unit. If you enlarge the sixth picture, first row (all the way to the right) it appears that there is green S/C'er oil pooling at the bottom of the intake elbow on the underside of the blower. This may be a sign of a leak from the blowers prefilled internal oil reservior. That could explain the low kit price, especially if he claims the '...supercharger has about 5k miles....'
