CompTech SC For Automatic or 6-Speed Question?

I'm trying to figure out what the difference would be design wise for the 6-Speed supercharging unit over the Auto. Anyone care to enlighten me. It's got to set up the same way.

Auto has VSA and different intake than the 6-speed.

Nashua_Night_Hawk,

Exactly.

PS: The release date for the auto is SUPPOSED to be mid January.

the VSA on the auto is an entirely different module that is right before the throttle body...that VSA module is non-existant on the 6 speed cars....if you just look under the hood of a 6 speed and an auto, its very obvious what the differences are.

Plus the wheelspin on the Auto would probably be kicking the VSA on all the time necessitating that it be OFF.
No Limited Slip either to help distribute the extra power better.

Plus Comptech is adding a tranny cooler for the automagic.

so obvious that you could just remove the VSA and buy the 5 dollar plastic collar that extends the intake tube to the throttle body and not wait at all for the "auto " version if you wanted to that is

The transmission (6 spd ) is also physically smaller requiring the need for different mounting brackets.Jens

I'm goin for it, as long as my dealer assures me that they'll take care of me. I will have them do the install, as they have on all of my other mods. They are very Comptech friendly and even did some of the testing on the prototype 5AT here in Sacramento. I'd like to know about driveability, gas mileage and what will it do to the tranny and other parts first.
