Comptech S/C and Stock Shroud

I was just checking out the S/C on autocarparts.com

It says...

*automatic only
Requires $200 core charge or customer returns stock shroud

What exactly does this mean?

The auto kit comes with a modified, stock fan shroud that allows you to relocate the fan motor to the other side of the shroud, allowing more clearance for more important things. They want you to give them your stock one to modify for the next kit, or pay $200 more for the kit.

So, I guess there is no way around this issue if I want to put the S/C in the auto CL-S.

Either fork over another $200 or forfeit the stock shroud, eh?
