in my experience a more effecient and free flowing engine should get better mileage. Assuming you can stay off the gas of course :-p

i've actually heard it goes both ways. all depending on your style of driving.

Point of perspective...

3 years ago, when my CLS 6MT was fully stock, I got between 28-30/20-23 MPG for freeway/around town.

Currently, I'm running with CT i/sc/h/full-catback and get between 28-32/20-24 MPG for freeway/around town when I'm light on the throttle. However, gas mileage drops off a bunch when I'm

If your driving habits don't change after modding, then your gas mileage will be about the same or slightly improved. However, with a modded car, there's a greater desire to "See what this baby will do".

That's worse than I was getting. Check your air filter. I get about 17 to 19 in the city and up to 32 on the highway. I'm running CT headers, intake and exhaust.

Try installing an AEM intake

YOu might want to install an AEM intake kit to compliment your exhaust. I have the comptech cat back with the AEM intake and i get about 30 mpg.

I've never gotten any less than 320 out of a full tank, even when driving hard in the twisties all day long.
